Since you opened the doors of The Classic Connection I have been a loyal customer, and a friend … both of which are earned attributes. You have a singular way of providing support when and where it is required, and are a consummate advocate of your client’s needs first and foremost.
You have smoothed the way during difficult transitions, and have the heart and directness to take on any company that is not responding to your client’s requirements. It is a rare breed these days that actually does place the client first rather than just giving such platitudes mere lip service. Talk and action are two completely different things, and you my friend, are a man of action and integrity … not to mention fair and decent prices … LOL!

Hi Sam,
It was delightful to meet you and to be spoiled with your generosity. I enjoyed getting to know you and your interest in collecting photo items.
The day worked perfectly, in terms of getting to you and the return back.
It was helpful to see three options yesterday. Even though I was more curious and excited about the Leica S2, I’ve returned thinking a lot more seriously about the Leica M9. You’re a great photo psychologist! Yes, M9 would be simpler, considering where I am in the photo digital world, less intimidating, more practical and economical. The Leica S2 turned out to be bigger than I thought, though it does have the format I prefer and the capability for enlargements.
I’ll be in touch next week. I can’t wait to get out photographing.
Meanwhile, I thank you again for your time and going out of your way to meet me at the train station.

I have dealt with Sam at Classic Connections for nearly 10 years buying and selling fine cameras and Elliot Erwitt collector prints. Samhas always put my needs first and gently guided me towards the equipment that best fit my needs and budget. Never have I been pressured to buy the latest and greatest or most expensive gear just so he could make the sale. Quite the contrary, Sam has always put my goals first and recommended a selection of equipment ranging from the least expensive previously owned to the most expensive latest and greatest from Leica. His honesty and customer service are quite extraordinary in this day and age.
